The Station Masters
We set off quite early this morning for our Glamping trip. We couldn't check in until 3pm, so we went to the little town of Alresford first, which is only about 4 miles away.
We had a wander around the town and then went for a pub lunch, where we sat in the garden overlooking a lake, it was a great spot and the food was very good too!
Alan had parked the car at the station, which is steam railway so when we went back to the car, we went onto the platform to have a look. It was like stepping back in time, and the station masters were all sat on a bench so I asked if I could take their photo. The next train wasn't due for another 45 minutes so we didn't get to see it, but they did bring an old diesel train through on a test run.
We then drove to the campsite and are very impressed - this is my kind of camping! I won't add any extras today in case I blip it tomorrow.
It's been really warm today, but now the sun's gone down the temperature has dropped so we're now inside our hut which is very cosy! We're surrounded by a field of sheep and lambs and have a feeling we'll be awake very early tomorrow, but that's fine, I'm sure there'll be a good sunrise!
