Setup

Typically there is no volleyball this time of the year for a couple of reasons: there are few if any people around (especially volleyball people) and it is very hot, humid. This year, however, our friend Carlos is back for a short vacation and the weather hasn't been as obnoxious as usual. He wanted to play some ball, so we set the net up (actually re-set it as we had played yesterday on a somewhat saggy net). Notice the quality anchors waiting to go into the holes I have just dug. All this work was well worth it as a couple of Canadian university indoor players came by a little later for some high-level games, and they are going to be in town until Tuesday. Looks like the net may get significant action over the next few days!
