In other news, I crossed the road to the fields opposite, where I came across..
Buttercup -  surprised to find that there are many varieties so as to which one, who knows!
May Hawthorn - a hedge clipped to within a inch of its life, so the flowers 
are still not in bloom
Lady's Smock - aka the cuckoo flower. Without a book it took a long time to identify this one, and even longer to finally identify this one...
Poison Hemlock (aka Cow Parsley!)-  seems it was used in a potion to kill Socrates...  :-)
I've been washing my hands... a lot....
