Settle to Horton-in-Ribblesdale

Day 1 of the Howgills and Limestone Trail from Settle to Kirkby Stephen. Today we walked from Settle to Horton-in Ribblesdale. Avoided the rain but there was a steady breeze all day. We started later than usual as we parked in Horton and then caught the bus back to Settle. En route we managed to lose Shep the Border Collie and had to take time out to locate him. The delays meant we had a dilemma ... it was either to complete the climb of Pen-y-Ghent and miss the tea shop or miss the summit and make the tea shop before closing time. Tea and cake won the vote as everyone had already climbed Pen-y-Ghent many times before.
