Flakey

I am rather fond of weathered doors - not all of them have an appealing character - but I think this one does.  I wonder how bright the paint would have been when it was first put on and when the door was last used.  It might be the ivy at the top and gathering of debris at its base disguise its frequent use.  You'd have to be quite short or duck to get through!

A very cold day which started wet and windy.  The car said it was six degrees as I drove to work.  I ventured out for a walk at lunchtime and felt good for it.  This evening we had a quick wander around the village, the air was cool and clear and the bell ringers were practicing in the church so the air was filled with the relaxing sound of church bells.  A non-stop day but a good one.
