Superstar again
Bit of a manic day. Came out to car at 8.50am to find it had a totally flat tyre. Took 30 mins to pump tyre up to drive to Kwikfit. They sorted tyre then went to get Molly. She was brilliant across country, we did lots of short courses and combinations. Got a clear in the clear round showjumping, over jumps much higher than we've jumped before. Then when we got back to van she was happily grazing, with the reins near her head whilst I took saddle off, when the rein clip got caught on her lower eyelid. Queue one panicked horse. Luckily I realised straight away and managed to unclip her and luckily there was a vet on site. He looked her over and said she should be ok just to keep close eye, as it were. She'd only damaged the lower eyelid and not the eyeball. Of all the things I'd imagined happening in my worst scenario outlook that wasn't one of them! Then back to yard where I rescued pigeon from cat. Pigeon lived to tell the tale. So all in all an eventful but good horse jumping day.
