Left Canowindra this morning and drove via Bathurst to Portland, where we had a tour of the old cement works.
Graham was our tour guide and was aided and abetted by several others who had worked there before its closure in 1990.

There are hopes that these beautiful old buildings (see extra) may be used in a similar way to those at Cockatoo Island.
Whatever happens, I hope they can be preserved, and that the fortunes of the little town of Portland may be improved.
