Two Wheels

A few weeks ago, I treated myself to a new bike.  You'll probably recall I have been thinking of doing this for sometime as my 25 year old Raleigh is very heavy and feeling rather a 'lump' to propel around.  I've been waiting to get the mudguards and pannier rack fitted but last weekend the bike the ready.  I've not had a chance to get out on it in the week (a combination of wet weather and lack of time) but today we took our maiden journey together!  What fun!  Its light and the wheels bigger and tyres thinner than my old bike so it feels like I am flying along for very little effort.

The rest of the day was spent keeping Merlin entertained.  He is now 11weeks old and getting rather bored being stuck in the house and garden. We've been to a couple of puppy play school sessions which he enjoyed immensely and we've got some training homework to practice which he is doing well with - when he wants to concentrate!  I don't think any of us can wait until 10 days time when he will have had all of his vaccinations and will be able to explore the big wide world (we are making walking nicely with a lead on a training priority)!

I also made Andy a belated birthday cake (Victoria sponge) and had to deal with a cyberattack to a mailing list on which my email is listed and has resulted in hundreds of emails coming into my 'inbox' and 'junk mailbox'.  I am gradually blocking the emails but there are many different addresses to stop.

Hoping you have all had a good Saturday.  Best wishes to you all.
