Crown imperials

Have always had mixed feelings about these. So different. But in a good way....?
Anyway, they had me stopping the car this afternoon to take a photo.

They seem to be making a statement: "Here we are! We don't look like any other plant in the Orkney border, but we are majestic, so leave us alone!"

Another day of sunshine and showers.
Some work, some weeding and a pleasant hour or so of going over our jive steps with 3 friends from the Sunday class.
