world in a grain of sand

Oxford rush hour

of course it doesn't really look like this, there are plenty of cars and buses too, but half term helped to reduce those and that and a still, sunny morning presented Oxford at its best. I walked down Turl Street, my old walk to work - where else can you get your thesis bound, buy a bottle of scotch and get measured for a suit all in a row of about 5 shops?
I've been at a tender evaluation all day - sounds deadly but actually it was a great day out of the office and there were some former colleagues also involved so I've had fun. Away from all the wretched office politics - hurray!
