Another failed attempt

Today was the second time this year I have attempted to climb Skiddaw and failed as the winds were too strong to stand up in. Nonetheless we managed to climb Lonscale Fell before descending down Burnt Horse and returning via the Glenderaterra valley and Latrigg. The showers held off until 3.00pm as well which was a bonus. There was some lovely stormy light over Derwent Water as we ascended this morning. Skiddaw will still be there next week, next month or next year for me to finally bag the summit!
