Queen Elizabeth Park

Back blipped on 25th April .

We're in Masterton for a few days.  And we have great WiFi, so finally I'm catching up with Blip.  

After a long day yesterday, today we had a lie in and then walked around the local area.  We visited the museum (partly because the i-site next door was shut for lunch when we got there).  Some interesting exhibits, and some great black and white photos.

Then a walk around the civic park.  Where we found all the things you expect to find - a cricket pitch called "The Oval", a croquet club, bowls club, tennis courts, petanque pitch, miniature railway, pond with an island and swans white (as seen in the main blip), and black (see 1st extra - love the white petticoat), and even a pissoir (2nd extra)!  

After that, we did a bit of shopping, and returned to our lodgings, where I almost caught up with blips.
