Dine in for 2

Woke up tired - not a good sign !! Took things easy.

Lovely visit to mum, she had her eyes open when I arrived, haven’t seen them open for ages. I thought at first she was laughing when I said “hello mum” but she was crying :(. She puckered up for a kiss, then happily ate like a birdie the chocolate buttons :).

Sad day, the last time I’ll see the manager of the care home - he is moving on to another home. He’s been a good support fir residents and staff and has given some stability to the home - it went through 3 or 4 managers before he arrived, they all only stayed for a short time. He has supported the staff through some changes, to enhance the running of the home. He will be a great asset to the new home, but we are sad he is going. No news on a replacement as yet.

This afternoon hubby had the afternoon off as leave, so we took a trip down to M&S. Spot of lunch before a bit of retail therapy mainly for him but managed to slip a few items into the basket. Selected a ”dine for 2 for £10 for tea :)

Committee meeting tonight, went surprisingly well with the committee harmonious with plans and actions :)
