Tiny waxeye
Travelled by its wings to a place where my cat could catch it. It then travelled in her mouth inside to give to me. I picked it up so it could travel on my hand outside to a safe place where it could recuperate so it could travel by its feathered wings back to its family.
I always thought they were native to NZ but they arrived from Australia...another import.
..during the 1850's.
Thank you Intothehills for the great themes for tiny Tuesday.
