Day 6

Our last day! How fast the week has gone! Lovely breakfast of fresh warm wholemeal bread and Serrano ham - mmmmmm.
We all met up at about 11 for a trip to Cala Ratjada up in the north-east tip of the Island. It is a very German resort (no English on the menus) and has a nice laid back kind of atmosphere, lots of restaurants and nice shops.
Got there and met up in Cafe Noah for lunch - Bread, garlic dip, olives, lovely coffee, beer...
We took a walk along the shore path which merges into a cliff top walk to the lighthouse. The colours of the sea - deep exhilarating blue, pale glass-green foamy waves, honey-cream rocks, salt sunshine, sweet mountain-thyme of the pine trees - just beautiful
Walked by the direct rout back into town and picked the cars up and drove over to the lovely beach.
Beaches are not my cup of tea, but I - even I - was tempted into the sea! What a laugh - there were surfers further out and as the waves came in you could pick them up and get carried in to the shore.
Drove back to Cala D'or and out by 8 for a meal at the Irish pub. Very nice and I ate far too much again!
Not a late night as we have all to get up and leave very early to catch our flights.
