Wonderful walk on the wild side!
Sunday 22nd April 2018 (backblip)
We decided to go to RSPB Frampton Marsh this afternoon .... we haven't been there for a while!
Just as we were about to leave it began to rain .......... so it was a case of "should we or shouldn't we"? We decided to go anyway & hope it stopped! It did! Though we did get damp a couple of times while we were walking but not too much!
We had a lovely walk ....... as soon as we arrived we saw a Lapwing sitting on eggs & their partner keeping watch! (Extras) ..... a great start!
We next saw the caterpillars of The Lackey moth (left photo) in their web on the Blackthorn ........ we saw a Canada Goose on eggs with Mr on guard ....... a Sedge Warbler ....... watched several Skylarks soaring & singing ...... Avocet & Black-tailed Godwit feeding ........ a Little Egret (bottom right) hunting for its dinner & a pair of Great Crested Grebe (top right) ..... we also had a Buzzard soar over our heads!
We also heard a Cetti's Warbler singing ..... though didn't manage to see it! A first for us!
All in all a lovely afternoon ...... so pleased we decided to go there! :-)
