for Honesty

One is a great fan of this plant, Honesty.

 Over the years I have done my best to see that it thrives in my local area so that the bees can take advantage of its nectar.  As you can see its flowering coincides with the gorse flowers and in a while it will also coincide with bluebells thereby creating an attractive colour scheme.

This morning I noticed a white flowered variant was in flower a little up the road.

Those of you who are flower arrangers will use the silver translucent flat seed heads with enthusiasm.  

A little request from a beekeeper - once you have finished with the flower heads in your flower arrangement how about throwing them in to a sunny hedgerow and seeing what happens in the future?
