Richmond

My daughter attended a workshop at VCU in Richmond and I spent the day wandering around.  It was lovely and I took so many photos that I can't really choose the best. I've put extras.

Saturday was the opening of a new Art institute - the Institute of Contemporary Art - it was Absolutely stunning - There were pieces that moved me in a way I have never felt.  

There was a block party to celebrate the opening - Richmond is a city that is wrestling with community, and Justice - and there was a table set up to create part of a Justice Flag - and this was my creation.  I was pretty pleased with the end result.  

VCU is a beautiful campus.  Richmond is a complicated and lovely town.  I really enjoyed the day.
