Quod oculus meus videt

My Good News

The afternoon at work was dedicated to a presentation by a motivational speaker from "The Art of Brilliance". Regrettably having been up since 4:30 am, feeling decidedly under the weather and struggling to maintain focus (I.e. keeping my eyes open) it was probably not the most conducive day for me to be positive.

Still, as I said last week, I have had a couple of pieces of good news. Firstly, Blip asked if I would allow one of my images to be used in an advertising campaign for a new competition, check out the new group, Lovers of Light.

Secondly, one of my images from earlier this year has been commended and included in the Landscape Photographer of the Year Awards. I was asked not to say anything until today but have had the award book since Friday. As we all realise there is no better feeling than when people appreciate our images. As you can imagine, I'm chuffed and it has probably done me more good than the presentation earlier in the day.
