Books for sale

I'm not sure if it's indicative of our modern times, but I was really surprised on walking into a WH Smith in Wolverhampton to see almost a quarter of the book floor taken up by the clearance section.

I love books and even though I own a Kindle, I find the physical experience of turning pages much more satisfying when reading. These days I only tend to buy non-fiction books but I sincerely hope that books in their paper form will be with us for many years to come.

P.s this only shows about a fifth of the area set aside for clearance in the store.
