My Girls

The girls had a great journey this morning, they left home at 6.30am, had one stop and arrived at 11.45am.  I'd just got back from the supermarket so it was great timing.  Once they were unpacked we had lunch and then went to Elif's so they could meet baby Luca - Violet just adores babies!

We then went down to the beach as finally it was hot enough, and the sea was turquoise in colour, they really have picked a good week to come.  From the beach we came home and Scarlett and I went in the hot tub, she loved it but Violet didn't so Rach didn't come in, maybe Violet would like it better if mummy came in too, so we may try again tomorrow.

Bed time was exciting for Violet and Scarlett as Rach put them to bed together for the first time, as we have a bed that extends to make a king size and I'd bought new 'Unicorn' duvet covers for them.  We also set up the travel cot in Rachel's room for Violet just in case she didn't settle, but they were fine and went to sleep quite quickly - I think they early morning, the excitement and the sea air had worn them out!

Alan went to his shooting club and Rach and I just chilled out.  It's been a lovely first day of their visit and we have lots more fun planned.  Unfortunately that means I'll get behind on blip again just after having caught up on your journals!
