In A different Corner

When we viewed this house 19 years ago the previous occupants described this area as their ‘alpine garden’

It was 2 fir trees and five stones.

Over the years it’s fallen to weeds, ivy, and a collection of bricks and stones and the bones of a much loved cat

This is my next project - until a couple of weeks ago there was still an excess of next door’s ivy and leylandi- stones and weeds.

Himself has been digging and sifting the soul and moving the stones and demolishing the trees - it was about half way there when The weekend was over.

I worked til nearly seven tonight and when I came home - here it was! All ready for planting !

I’ve got bamboo; acers. Dogwood a red and white thing and a white thing and flowers!

It’s going to be a smorgasbord of colour and prettyness
