By heading out of town up the mainish (but very traffic-light) road and then going up the coast before cutting in through some volcanoes to get to the big roundabout at Yaiza, it means that you've ridden 25km before you've actually decided on your route - that roundabout really being the jumping off point for all manner of stuff. Today, the wind was blowing like a good  'un and by the time I'd got to this roundabout and then rolled around the streets of the town a bit I decided to cut things short and head home with 60km in the legs - more than enough, Sunday after all.
