fleeting visions

Autumn leaves at night

So I desperately need more exercise, and our dog Fergus isn't getting enough either, so I said I would start taking him for walks in the evening (instead of just letting the dogs romp in the back yard). And by the time I got around to it, it was dark and a stiff wind was blowing because there's a monster storm barrelling up the East Coast. It will swing inland before it reaches us, luckily for us, but it doesn't look good for residents of New York, Delaware, Virginia, Ontario and Quebec.

Anyway, the wind was strong enough to create a rain of leaves as Fergus and I walked briskly through the neighbourhood this evening. And it was a brisk walk - we were only out for about 20 minutes, but my fingers felt frozen when I got back. Brrr!
