Faith, Hope and Charity...

... but not in that order!

This afternoon we visited our first open garden of the year under the National Gardens Scheme. A very nice farmhouse garden that has long since had nothing to do with farming. The garden was just up the road from the Great Barton Church Holy Innocents, so we just had to have a look at that too.

This striking window is from the workshop of William Morris, the figures by Edward Burne-Jones... Faith is the Roman centurion at the crucifixion, Charity is The Good Samaritan and Hope is Joshua.
