And we have chosen well! That was a bloody good night! :-))

Despite being fairly organised for our guests arriving, D and I were running late as usual!

Knowing us well, Ele and Kenny arrived early to help with any last minute prep so Ele got handed the hoover and gave the kitchen a last run round before the others arrived. It's quite stressful when you're just about to start blowdrying your hair at 10 to 7 with the other 4 guests due at 7!

All good though as they got a little lost and didn't arrive till nearer 7.30 so we had time to compose ourselves and look as though we'd been ready for ages!

And what a fantastic night we had! Dinner turned out perfect, the wine champagne, gin and beer! was flowing and the company was fantastic. I am so happy we bought a round dining room table as all 8 of us could chat and be part of the same conversation.

We ate till we declared ourselves fit to burst, moved to the living room where, after a slight pause, we started on the cheese and biscuits! The Scottish tablet was also popular. :-))

We started to flag a little around 2am and reluctantly declared it time for bed...then remembered that we would get an extra hours sleep as it was really only now 1am! Result!

And we get to do it all again in a couple of weeks time when we go to Alan's and Gail's to celebrate Alan's next significant birthday that he's desperately trying to ignore! :)) Might have to order him one of these :)
