Yellow Skunk Cabbage

A misty journey across the Pennines to the Lakes today. We are competing in a weekend of Orienteering and decided to get the travelling out of the way today.

We just had time to call in at Sizergh Castle for a wander around their formal gardens. I didn’t expect to see too much colour so was surprised to see clumps of yellow flowers near the waters edge. The plant label announced it was Skunk Cabbage. I have put a close up in the extra.

Just hoping the car park arrangements work out given how wet many of the fields are.
