Perfect

The working day was just the working day except for a rather lovely coffee interlude with the delightful Mrs W who I haven’t seen to talk to for ages. we chewed the fat, swopped dreams, and had a laugh over the moustaches on the coffee mugs (see extras).

There was a moment of ribaldry in the office regarding The Dorking Cock. Google it, it’s a local landmark. One our colleagues claimed that a friend of hers had ridden it. Not a lot you can say to that.

Best bit was after work when TSM met me in the pub and we had sharing plates and lots of lovely conversation. Afterwards we had a drink in the garden when the early evening sun came out. Charlie the pub cat sat on my lap for ages and the food, the staff and the atmosphere were lovely. For the record it was The Onslow Arms in Clandon which was super accommodating for us vegans.They really were great and went the extra mile to look after us. And they do great beer. The blip is a shot of their lovely walled garden.

Icing on the cake was the big brother posting that his recent show in Calderdale had been nominated for a prestigious national award

The sun was lovely as we drove home. It was a beautiful evening.
