Good old Hebby!

Ahhh one of my favourite places, out of anywhere, to visit and spend some time...Hebden Bridge. Walking there from Sowerby Bridge along the towpath highlighted how wet the weather has been, just in case you needed a reminder. A continuous stretch of huge puddles mixed with muddy grass verges made splish splash the theme tune of the walk! ;-) However, even in the misty murk, it was a pleasure to stroll along. 

They are just starting the very long, arduous process of upgrading the towpath by changing the surfaces to a mixture of tarmac and gravel. It should improve it and remove the extreme mud which has been ever present since the floods of Christmas 2016.
