Tufty
An afternoon walk from Drumpellier Country Park in Coatbridge and along the Monkland Canal (or what's left of it). The rain just about held off - until the last half-hour or so, when the drizzle got steadily heavier.
Despite the Canal being littered by plastic bottles, cans and other assorted debris, there was still quite a lot of bird-life to be spotted. At one point a heron flew overhead and a mallard flew a few feet in front of me, across the path from a nearby pond onto the Canal itself. A pair of Tufted Ducks (one male and one female) swam this way and then that, seemingly uncertain of their direction or destination, but swimming slowly enough to provide me with my Blip for the day.
