Good fishing spot

We have family staying who we don't see very often and on our way out for coffee we stopped off here for a few minutes.  This is the Ohau Channel through which water from Lake Rotorua flows into Lake Rotoiti and is a popular spot for anglers.  This young chap was cleaning a very good size trout when we arrived and stopped to chat for a while.  We were amused to see him 'walk' to his favourite spot along the floodgates railing where he had a birds eye view of fish entering the channel
