Final rehearsal

It was the final rehearsal and performance day for her wee singing group today. They were being accompanied by Katies favourite pianist so she was absolutely bouncing. Until there was an audience for their dress rehearsal. They all suddenly went extremely shy! I was singing with them for one song and helping from the front row for the others.

Their performance was the official opening of the main festival & they did a great job! The extra today is her with the coach and her singing friends. She and V especially have made lovely friends this week.

Katie & I stayed to watch the concert that followed. There was a great piece “Revue du Cuisine” that was narrated and fabulous fun which she loved. Across today’s performances was a lot of Finzi work, who she’s recently begun to study with clarinet, so she enjoyed the Finzi piece we saw this morning.

I had to go to work after the concert so she came too, with more than a little grumbling. She did a huge stack of Harry Potter colouring sheets though. Our work printing bill in the holidays often includes a significant pile of katie activity sheets!
