The Bridal Rose

A white rose is the symbol of Purity and Beauty. According to the Greek lyric poet, Anacreon, the white rose first sprang forth during the birth of Aphrodite goddess of love.  This one is still blooming in my Easter bouquet. Just back from a nice pub meal with daughter No.2 and granddaughter. Neither wanted a photo taken so it's the rose instead.
