magnolia
The magnolia seems to have come out very quickly - just a few bruised and battered buds last week.
In other news - I’m very pleased with the service I’ve received from Fuji Repairs (UK). At the end of January I dropped my Fuji X30 on to a hard floor; the exposure compensation dial broke off and rolled across the floor. (See extra for damage).
The camera still worked but kept randomly over-exposing by a couple of stops. So I guess the impact had shaken up the innards as well as losing the dial on top. Needless to say, it was out of warranty.
It’s a discontinued model now will not be replaced, so I deliberated about whether or not it was worth repairing. Two weeks ago I took over to Fuji UK in Bedford. They offer a flat-rate repair - price depending on camera range. For my model it was £95, including collection and return.
I’ve just got it back. They replaced the whole top plate of the camera and the bottom plate as well. It’s had a firmware update and a thorough clean and polish. It looks and works like new. (see extra).
So - well done Fuji UK.
