Don't look if you are squeamish!

It was Spook Night in Hexham from 3pm today. Beaumont Street, just outside the Abbey, was crammed with fairground rides, hot dog stalls and the like. The Farmers' Market, with its more superior stalls, was banished to the Wentworth carpark where business was poor.

In town there were lots of excited children. It was only when the temperature started to drop that some were suffering. A Halloween costume is unlikely to be very cosy.

I had a good time with my camera. The young people raising money for the Mike Fry Foundation were very happy to be photographed after they had their fake wounds applied. This girl was a star.
