Easter floods
A rather better day today, warm with some sunny spells. I went to visit my favourite churchyard this afternoon, but as I was driving along the A47 I could see that the Nene Valley was extensively flooded, so made a detour to take some photographs from Ferry Bridge. There were quite a few other people around, taking in the scene. The water appears to be almost as deep as it was during the 2011-2012 floods, but hopefully it won't hang around for so long. The riverside meadows generally benefit from some degree of flooding, but stagnant water lying on the grass in warm weather isn't a good combination!
