Day's End

No time for lying around for Bailey today. The others were up and running by the time Bailey and I emerged and then the bestest friend / coach came back to run with me up and down the lane. The surfers packed up and went ahead of the walkers. We then walked seven and a half miles round to meet them with blue sky all the way. It was a good job that the sky and the view were uplifting because the mud and puddles were not a lot of fun, particularly when we came away from the coastal path to cut some distance off and had to cross very muddy fields. Bailey was distinctly less precious than I was about where he put his feet but wasn't so keen to be up to his belly in it at one point. We did come in to Whitesands eventually and were pleased to see the van and the surfers and have our picnic.

Back to St Davids and we wandered up to the gallery and a poetry exhibition that we all appreciated. A bit of retail therapy with a wander around the shops and a purchase in a lovely gallery on the street where we are staying.

We decided to keep packing plenty into the day whilst the weather was set fair and headed around the coast to Porthgain for fish and chips at the Shed. Very lovely they were too and Bailey was treated to a little bit of everyone's.

And then a lighthouse trip for the sunset to top off a lovely, lovely day. Strumble Head provided a final blip opportunity and all three lenses were used to reasonable effect, but the fish eye shot won out over all the others taken today. I think it probably does the day justice. All 25, 207 steps of it.
