House Sparrow

Only it wasn't - this one is a Cafe Sparrow.

Good day in town today - managed to buy birthday presents for my grandson and picked up a few bargains for myself as well. We stopped at the Flat Rock Cafe at Kohatu on the way home, for a coffee. A pair of sparrows and a pair of chaffinches have obviously made the courtyard their own, and flitted in and out looking for handouts.

This wee girl was not as brave as her boyfriend, so I hope he was sharing some of his goodies with her.

NOTE: In the end I felt sorry for her, so I photoshopped out the evidence of her bowel motion.
