The dropped stitch

The Ontoft

Just one of many newly ploughed fields hereabouts.
Beautiful sunny morning when I went at 8am to put the heating on in the hall, ready for our dancing class. We are getting to grips with the jive! I now just need to stop being amazed when it's going well, because then I lose concentration and it starts going wrong.

The day later brought hail showers. Very changeable.

Good Scottish dancing this evening.
Lamp Black Lizzie caused some puzzled faces. It's a Rubik's Cube sort of dance where you move at speed from one place to another, breathe a sigh of relief when you get back to where you are meant to be, and then look up in amazement to find your partner has appeared back opposite you again. And then it all starts again.
Macleod's Fancy on the other hand left many of us glancing across to a NEW partner, mid-dance. We ironed out the 'issues' on the second, (or maybe third), attempt! Lots of laughter, which is such an important part of it.
