A merry dance

I was quite looking forward to the low cloud I could see out of the window. There's nothing like dramatic grimness for atmosphere. I have to admit to being a little disappointed when the cloud had raised off the moors by the time we got there. It was kind of plain grim instead.

There’s always something to lighten the day though; this time with our feathered grouse friend.  His other half must have a nest ridiculously close to the main path up the moors. For quite some distance, he ran backwards and forwards by our side as we plodded up the moor.  Even when I couldn’t resist a quick photo, he was still on a mission, boldy legging it backwards and forwards.

He’s going to get tired legs attempting to lead everyone a merry dance away from her nesting site, but at least he’s conscientious.

So, after a comical outing it was then a quick turnaround for an evening at mum and dad's. Always special x
