das Gemüse

das Gemüse is one of my favorite german words thus far. the other one is können, but thats not important for this blip.

these are the Gemüse (vegetables) at the edeka. i just like the way the word sounds.

today was a good day. i ate a döner with steph and then did some grocery shopping. she made chocolate chip cookies, a delicacy on this side of the Atlantic. and i studied german for a long time which i am pretty happy about. my mind was clear enough to memorize today.

i like talking to friends from the past. it brings great joy and clarity to so much here. it also reminds me of who i am. i am learning a lot about myself. much of how i exist here is "uncharacteristic" of me. which makes me wonder if it is so uncharacteristic. i am learning and trying and seeking good. most times. so it should be alright. there is so much grace.
