I'll be sleepless tonight
An odd day. Halfway through my shower, my radio died. Flat as a pancake. You have to charge them up every now and again as they come with a rechargeable battery so it's ideal for the bathroom. I have another downstairs in the front room where I work from home but that one is nearly always plugged in. Typical! I plugged it in to charge and ran downstairs to catch the 'Name that tune' game at 5.30.
I just sent my answer and then I spotted the huge spider by the washing machine. It was as big as a hand and it was waving it's legs at me in a threatening manner. I would never kill a spider. You'd need a massive frying pan to wallop that one anyway so I ignored it thinking he might make a good picture later when I felt brave enough to go closer.
The working day was quite uneventful. My cheque arrived in the post before lunch for my 25 year service. That was good! Spent already of course, on Alice Cooper tickets and a camera connection kit for my iPad. I'd had to send HR the receipts a little while ago.
I kept checking to see if Spud (the spider) was still on the wall every now and again when I went to the kitchen for more tea. I called him Spud as he was as big as one!
Bloody typical. Spud was there all day until at least 3pm which was the last sighting I had of him. At 3.30pm I logged off and tidied up the front room and at 4pm I steeled my nerves to get close! He had gone!!!!! No idea where he is now. I am nervous!
My picture is of my cheque as Spud clearly didn't fancy being blipped and I couldn't be bothered to find anything else.
