Outdoor Nostalgia

I used to buy The Great Outdoors regularly (almost 40 years ago) - and I've started buying it again over the last few months.

I got a real feeling of nostalgia today reading about the kit 'we' used to use all these years ago - Rohan Striders, Scarpa Bronzos, Trangia, Berghaus Cyclops, Damart.  I also remember the anguish of deciding if one could justify spending quite so much of the terms grant on a new Goretex jacket.
