Good Friday at LAke Tarawera

After a little boat maintenance, Dean took us all for a jaunt in our boat Elysia on this heavenly day at Lake Tarawera.
Lots of folk are here enjoying the last long weekend of the summer and the boats on trailers were queued up right up our lane at Bay View Road waiting for their turn at the boat ramp this morning. Speed boats, jet skis, kayaks , dinghies and launches are all out to play today.
We burbled around to Humphries Bay with Grandpa Deano overseeing 12 year old Zoe at the wheel then crossed the lake to Hot Water Beach which was crowded with boats and tents and in the extra you can see folk basking in the tepid water with the steam rising from the water's surface.
