Cooling Towers

When I travelled regularly between London and Manchester, this was my favourite view from the train - roughly halfway on the journey somewhere in the Midlands 'sodden and unkind'. I love cooling towers especially when the sunlight hits the steam or dark shadows fall in the moonlight. In another life I thought it would be a good photographic project to cover all the cooling towers in the UK, rather like I once saw an exhibition of grain elevator photos at MOMA.Now I can bring you this memory courtesy of Blip, as I remembered we were about to pass the towers just in time!
