Peaceful...

I was at Edinburgh Zoo today for a conference.

I took the car! I used to take the car everyday. I would not want to go back to that. One hour and thirty-eight minutes of driving...one hour of that easily driving hell.

I missed my walk after breakfast...one hundred yards to the car from the house is not a replacement for the one and a half miles to the station. You just sit in traffic and you can’t read or blip cause you’re in charge of a motor vehicle...so you just sit! You can listen...to the traffic reports that occasionally tell you why you are just sitting!

On arriving at the conference I saw this wee oasis of trees...I took a deep breath...drank in their view...exhale...that’s better:-)

The conference was interesting and I am grateful for the organisers running it.

I was also grateful to get the car home this evening on much quieter roads after a conference dinner...a late night for me. Let’s hope I hear the alarm.

Grateful for the mug of mint tea that MrR made for me too.
