Corfu

The sun was shining and our tour of Corfu, both the island and the old city, went very well. The island itself is very hilly and the coast quite spectacular.
The main surprise in the main town was to find pride of place given over to a cricket pitch, a reminder of the presence of a British garrison there in the 1800's.
The blip is of the bell tower of small christian orthodox monastry which sits perched atop a steep hill with superb views over a small bay and rugged coastline.
