Flyng Home from Gib

(Back blip from yesterday) Sadly this visit to Spain has come to an end. Hopefully we'll be back again in around six weeks time.

We've had a wonderful 5 weeks, meeting up with old friends from Bahrain days, plus achieving our main aim of this visit and installing the AC in the bedrooms.

This was the view from the aircraft window as we took off. A very dramatic view of the "Rock" with a gorgeous sunset backdrop.

We left our apartment at 1730 local time and arrived back in Cornwall at 0615 (0715 Spanish time) the following morning! A long journey but everything went well. There was a strong headwind on the flight back and we were warned it would make the flight longer. Added to that when we got to Gatwick only one runway was open due to maintenance, so we had to circle for quite a while and ended up over forty minutes late but that was the only very minor glitch on our long journey.
