Contrasts

We took Ella and Nathaniel into town so that their night worker dad could get to bed, as #3 daughter had a late meeting with her student teachers.

They spent a while watching the lad playing his drums made of recycled materials. After watching a while they had a dance and said we had to put money in his box which we would have done anyway.

Then we went into Fenwicks to look at the posh Easter eggs. The concept of £650 was more than they could cope with. Till I told them the drummer would have to sit there playing for 2 years to earn enough to buy the egg, and that’s if he did not pay for other food or a place to live. Ella said she’d be 8 and Nathaniel would be 6, so it was ages and ages.
