A Happy Reunion
Dear O’h dear and Lovely Tea Jenny,
Youngest Mini Princess returned from her trip this afternoon.
As we were waiting for her coach to return, Eldest Mini Princess wondered aloud about how grumpy she would be. I poo-pooed this as I figured that she would be excitedly telling us about her fun activities and illicit midnight feasts.
I was wrong.
She alighted the coach with a pallor that would have secured her a part in Ghostbusters. Her list of complaints included:
Her EXHAUSTION due to the clocks changing.
A girl MOANING and crying about needing the toilet on the bus. ‘Aaaaaand she went before we left. Aaaaaand it’s not because she had diarrhoea or anything’.
The TERRIBLE food.
It was comedy. EMP and I completely lost it with the giggles.
When we got her home, she told us a little more about her trip which included a complete re-enactment of the obstacle course. She leapt over imaginary logs, climbed up illusory trees and crawled under non-existent nets. It was hilarious. My face was aching with the effort it took to keep it straight (although I did have to enquire after about 5 minutes about the length of the obstacle course).
A shower, pizza and a cuddle on the sofa seemed to make it all better again. She actually had a really good time but she might take after her Mother when it comes to dealing with sleep deprivation!
